Enter the date of the last gas safety check and see exactly when the Landlord Gas Safety Record is due, and the earliest you can renew while keeping your annual date.
This is a guide, not a legal record. A valid Landlord Gas Safety Record (CP12) can only be issued by a Gas Safe registered engineer after an in-person check. Dates assume a standard 12-month cycle; always confirm against your own record.
A CP12 (Landlord Gas Safety Record) is valid for 12 months. Under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, you can have the next check carried out up to two months early, any time from 10 to 12 months after the last check, and keep your original renewal date, so your annual cycle doesn’t drift earlier each year.
Renew earlier than 10 months (or late, past the deadline) and the date resets to 12 months from the actual check date. That’s why this tool shows both the due date and the earliest “renew from” date.
For the full picture, read how long a CP12 is valid and how to track gas safety renewals.
